Tri Colore Tabarrini Dinner!
Saturday, September 29th!
6:30 PM
The last time we took over the terrace at a/k/a for a wine dinner with Argot, it was so much fun, we had to plan another ASAP! In this case, Giampaolo Tabarini, himself owner and winemaker of one of Deborah and my pesonal favorite wineries from Montefalco, Umbria. Giampaolo will personally present and pour his complete compendium of astonishing Italian wines on
SATURDAY, September 29 at 6:30 PM.
Tabarini, in his most debonair and charming way, will arrive at a / k / a repelte with his 2009 Rose of Sagrantino “Bocca di Rosa” (IGT); Rosso “Il Padrone Delle Vigne” 2009 (IGT) – Sangiovese/Sagrantinio/Cab/Merlot; Sagrantino “Colle Grimaldesco” 2006 (DOCG) – Wine Spectator 92, Parker 91 pts; Montefalco Sagranto “Colle Alle Macchie” 2004 (DOCG) – Spectator 92, Parker 93 points; and most magnificently, for dessert, the Tabarini Sagrantino Passito 2006 (DOCG) Parker 92 points — these grapes are laid out on racks to dry before being pressed and lovingly layered into the most mouth watering dessert wine experience one can encounter.
And as for the Tri Colore theme? Chef James Lambrinos of a / k / a is half Italian, half Greek — and now fully immersed in our sustainable, organic California food culture. Hence, the three “colors” of this state and those two cultures will be fashioned and featured by way of a five course dinner specifically paired to each wine AND on a Saturday night!
Please, please, book and book early! Only 50 seats are available for this dinner – at the pocket pleasing price of only $65 pp ++
We hope to see you on the 29th and, as always, look forward to taking care of you and yours often and well at a / k / a!
Happy and Healthy Fall to you and yours!
