AMIR K has been entertaining audiences for nearly 10 years, performing live across the U.S. and on Television. His fun, unique approach to storytelling brings audiences together through his improvisational talent, characters and charisma. Born in Iran and raised in Southern California, Amir offers a unique point of view shaped by his multi-cultural upbringing. He currently stars in the primetime CW reboot of MADtv and has been seen on Comedy Central, NBC’s Last Comic Standing and MTV's Jerks with Cameras. Amir is best known for his stand-up comedy, but is also an accomplished actor. He won a SAG award for his role in the Oscar winning film Argo and recently starred in The FOX feature film The Pyramid opposite Denis O'Hare and Ashley Grace.
BOB ZANY is wry, sarcastic, insulting, lovable, and well ... zany! Known to many as “The Insult Comic,” he has the temerity to hit his audience without a pre-set joke list or any clear idea at all of what's going to happen. He’s been on more than 100 national television shows including The Drew Carey Show, Rodney Dangerfield's HBO Special, The Jerry Lewis Telethon, Roseanne, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Comics Unleashed, Showtime, MTV, VH-1 and A&E. His “Zany Report” appears weekly on the nationally syndicated radio program The Bob and Tom Show. Bob Zany's thirty-second year in showbiz wrapped with the long-awaited premier of Close But No Cigar: Bob Zany, Jay Kanzler's chronicle of Zany's three decades on the joke-telling roller coaster. The film debuted as a work-in-progress at The St. Louis Film Festival to stellar reviews: "Often hilarious and occasionally poignant, Close But No Cigar stands with the very best in the entertainment documentary genre."
He has also appeared in such films as Joe Dirt, The Informant and 23 Minutes to Sunrise, and garnered a featured spot in Jordan Brady's 2010 Slamdance smash, I Am Comic.
Established in 1960, THE ICE HOUSE is the oldest operating comedy club in America. With a star-filled roster of past and present performers, including Jimmy Fallon, George Lopez, Jay Leno, Bill Maher, George Carlin, David Letterman, Steve Martin, Bob Newhart, Lily Tomlin, Marc Maron and Dana Carvey, it is a favorite of comedians and stand-up aficionados alike. Its success is due in part to its reputation for showcasing the best upcoming talent as well as the biggest stars of today in an intimate, welcoming setting. In 2014, it was recognized as one the Top Five Comedy Clubs in the country by researcher Dr. Peter McGraw and author, Joel Warner, writers of The Humor Code: A Global Search for What Makes Things Funny.
A long-time community supporter, Ice House owner Bob Fisher has chosen HILLSIDES as the designated charity of The Ice House. For the past seventeen years, Fisher has donated all of the profits of the Anniversary Show to Hillsides, whose mission is to create safe places for children by treating abuse, neglect and mental illness; strengthening families; providing special education; and advocating for children's rights.
