2018, a New Year's resolution:
To celebrate the past, present
and future!
Bistro 45 is so fortunate to have 28 years now here on Mentor Avenue and to have each of you as preferred patrons. So of course, we choose to celebrate both! In lieu of Dine L.A., or another similar large scale promotion~~we are sculpting two weeks of superb, specially priced $45 three course prix fixe dinners, with an homage to you and our varied ground breaking cuisine and its place in Pasadena's culinary history.
Sustainable, organic and prime ingredient menus have always been our hallmark, since 1983. Cafe Jacoulet brought an Asian influence and the first creme brulee to "California cuisine" on Raymond Avenue. a/k/a Bistro embraced Wine Country cooking at our Old Pasadena location, each restaurant resonating for over seven years. Hence, we shall begin the New Year looking ahead as we also cherish who we have been ~~ both with you and yours in the community of Pasadena at large.
And as both Bill and Claire Bogaard were present for the 1983 and 2011 ribbon cuttings, we also choose to toast their incalculable contributions to the curating and cultivating of the treasure that has become Pasadena today, as they dine with us and we "roast" them on Sunday, January 14th. Bill served four terms as mayor and Claire headed Pasadena Heritage throughout a tenure that began in the "Wild West" days of Old Town. Long may they live in health and happiness and long may they know how grateful so many of us are for their love and care. Here's to the Crown City, past, present and brightest of futures.
