Grab your passport, hop in the nearest hot air balloon and soar over to The Raymond 1886 where the adventure of a lifetime awaits as guests take a journey across libations by experiencing The Raymond 1886’s “Around the World” New 2019 Fall Cocktail Menu!

"I had the privilege of watching someone I admire leading the creative team behind every cocktail menu I have been a part of at The Raymond 1886," says New Head Barman Jesus Gomez. Gomez’s tenacity and skill set has been sharply honed during his tenure at 1886 working directly under friend and mentor Peter Lloyd Jones (The Raymond 1886, Everson Royce Bar), as well as an illuminating recent experience at Old Lightning with Pablo Moix (Scopa Italian Roots, The Chestnut Club, DAMA). States Gomez "Now it's an honor to be in that position, to reshape ideas and lead this incredibly innovative team," and The Raymond 1886's new “Around the World” 2019 Fall Cocktail Menu features eleven cocktails inspired by the bountiful spirits and liqueurs found all over the world.

Ahoy! Ahoy! Take a voyage around Latin America where Cruise Director Jesus Gomez has prepared three cocktails that will have guests declaring, “Muy delicioso!” First stop, Cuba, where guests will enjoy the luxurious Hotel Plaza, comprised of white rum, Carpano Antica, dry vermouth, grenadine syrup, lime juice, Peychaud’s Bitters, and egg white. You are sure to go bananas in Puerto Rico as you sip on the El Cid, featuring Bacardi 8, banana liqueur, Angostura Bitters, and orange zest. Argentina, where the Pablito is a guaranteed compass to treasure, is made with Amass Gin, Camus Cognac, dry vermouth, Lillet Blanc, Anisette, and lemon zest. Take an extra excursion to Mexico with guide Luis Nava and his refreshingly tingly La Catrina, featuring Vida Mezcal, Velvet Falernum, house-made strawberry shrub, lime and pineapple juice. Take it hip to hip while drinking through the wilderness of Peru, where Nathan Baker has just the adventurous libation to get you up to Machu Picchu with the Puku Puku, a cocktail Head Barman Jesus Gomez calls, “A completely unique experience, made with Pisco, house-made tarragon syrup, lemon juice, strawberry, egg white, and Amargo Bitters.”

Time to present a boarding pass and passport as adventurers continue this global cocktail crawl throughout Europe, where things kick-off in Spain with Jesus Gomez and the Alejandro made with 7 Leguas Reposado, Punt e Mes, Mr. Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur, Licor 43, and cream. Got a Eurail pass? Travelers will speed off to Austria, the home of Mozart, schnitzel, and Emilia Romagna, a rich and nutty libation created by Luis Nava featuring Rittenhouse Rye, Nocino Walnut Liqueur, Brizard Cacao Liqueur, and heavy cream. To get the best from France, travel off-season and enjoy the Fall in Normandy, a cocktail by Andrew Cowan guaranteed to warm globe-trekkers from the inside out, with Applejack, Camus Cognac, house-made spiced apple syrup, hot water, lemon zest, and dehydrated pears. Time to pack a bag and get on an airplane! Miguel Perez will be the Captain on your flight headed to Japan where the cocktail of choice is the Bokken, comprised of Akashi, Drambuie Liqueur, house-made blueberry syrup, and lemon juice. After you enjoy the land of hot springs, sumo wrestling, and Mount Fuji, it is time to go on safari with Abby Peoples as she takes guests on an expedition through Africa with the Amelonado featuring Bourbon, Brizard Cacao Liqueur, St. Vincent Tamarind Syrup, and hot water. This journey around the world is just about over, but on our way home Nathan Baker makes sure to make a crucial stop in Canada to visit The Professor; presented on a burned wood coaster, this cocktail is made with Pike Creek, Clement V.S.O.P., St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram, maple syrup, and Whiskey Barrel-Aged Bitters.
