For the 100th anniversary of the invention of the Cheeseburger (at the Rite Spot) right here in Pasadena, the Chamber celebrated during our annual Cheeseburger Week in January.

More than 1000 people took the Cheeseburger Challenge and voted for their favorites in multiple categories. (You can see the results by clicking here).

Thanks to everyone who celebrated the birth of the cheeseburger in the Home of the Cheeseburger, Pasadena.

Guests could taste cheeseburgers from old favorites or someplace new. You didn't even have to try a cheeseburger to be part of the citywide celebration.

Did you have a favorite?

This year, to celebrate the anniversary, we also hosted a Cheeseburger Passport. Patrons could download the passport and get it stamped (with a purchase at the restaurant) and accumulate stamps toward winning prizes.

Three people turned in Cheeseburger Passports with all the squares stamped (and receipts to prove purchases).

Congratulations to:

  • Mark R.
  • Colin M.
  • Max C.

Each won a $50 gift card to a local participating restaurant.

Congratulations also to the others who turned in valid passports with four or more stamps (and receipts). You will be receiving gifts card from Pasadena Chamber members for $5 to $25 each (depending on the number of stamps gathered.
